Blood Stained Hands Poem by Emmanuel George Cefai

Blood Stained Hands

I saw Age with blood stained hands:
He told me:
‘I have just done it'

‘No' said I
‘you have been undermining
Me
All time.
No rest, but just decay slow
And imperceptible you thought:
I saw it all these years
But could do nothing'

Silent sate Age
Below
a clock ticked together
Ticked
the noose of Age.
