Bliss Of Being Poem by C. P. Sharma

Bliss Of Being

Rating: 3.5

Do we write for prize or pleasure?
Isn’t it sweet emotions treasure?
We come here to enjoy our leisure,
Each of us sings one’s own measure.

Like sparrows some chirp and tweet,
Some like young ducklings squeak;
Some sing their songs at low pitch,
Others in variations of notes are rich.

No two of us God made alike,
Why foolish comparison strike?
Some are crafty with curved beak
And have designed the way unique.

Let us be far from their mud sling,
Let us sing the bliss of our being.

COMMENTS OF THE POEM

I do it for fun, and nothing more And honestly, one write better when poor. :) I like this poem much. It is fitting. I guess I too am to be blamed, since I request critiques much, . but honestly, I just want to know im getting better at poetry. I do it, because I love it. :) . so should all. I think the childish bickering is nothing more than childish bickering and NOT necessary. A good write sir.

So true C.P. There is much bliss in just being a poet. I think I would create if there was no one to hear me but the sparrows. But I do appreciate those who take the time to read my work. Always your friend, Sandra

You have very nicely written the happenings as they are and used such expressive phrases to highlight your soul's soothing sighs. Very nice work. arya

You got it right! “Do we write for prize or pleasure? Isn’t it sweet emotions treasure? We come here to enjoy our leisure, Each of us sings one’s own measure.” There’s always two main reasons why we are writing, it is the prize and the pleasure. Those written words we wrote were just mainly based from our emotions, wherein sweet emotions were barely written. Yeah right, we are usually writing poems whenever we find free time. hehe Nicely written!

Thank you Sharma ji, for transmitting an important message to writers of PH - through this thoughtful poem! 10+ It is unfortunate that the concerned people will not read this poem! ! I wish they did! I had once explained to an elderly poet on this forum that we should feel grateful to Poem Hunter for publishing our poems and celebrate the 'joy of writing'! I also adviced him not to run after popularity ratings -since this forum is certainly No Measure for literary standards! I requsted him to send a few poems to Bologi.com(where I had posted earlier) , where the Editor himself decides about posting of poems! With best wishes, & thanks! -Raj
