Bleak House: Root Canal

'I'm guilty, Sir,
of drawing out a tale for extra money; '
said writer Mr Winkle,

'but so's that dentist jerk,
Mr Root-On-Purpose,
expecting extra work.
Dr Trantor told me, Sir,
and I suspect intent.

'Go easy on me, Sir,
for though my stretch I meant,
at least my work does entertain,
while his brings extra pain.'
