Black Pools And Ginger Lips Poem by Emma Vander Dussen

Black Pools And Ginger Lips

I see your face
soft and pure
eyes dark
lips light
like ginger
slightly turned
are you smiling?
or is it sadness that touches
those ginger lips.
when I don't focus on them
and search your eyes
blue seas pouring into black pools
I glimpse a smile
bright as snow
but when I seek it
full and delighting
there is no smile
gracing ginger lips
and feel my own frown
rose water to your ginger
and I wish we could create
a better flavour

Well this is a great title for a written piece and I would say that you delivered on that title. This is an original and unique approach. I very much like the presentation of this piece. I was a very pleasing read with some special lines. Wonderful. GW62
