Black History Poem by Cp4 The Rapper

Black History

It all started with our ancestors that lived with only a little they had.
Tied up together, so all of them was closely attached.
Hard work in the cotton fields, surroundings of dirt and tall grass.
Devastating losses that we intentionally had in the past.
Heartfelt that they had to live their life's with no love.
Brutally beaten in this society, it was time of bad blood.
No food or water, survival was hard for them to overcome.
Survival was limited, they try to escape to a new journey, somewhere far.
Years later segregation instantly got in their way.
Discrimination was something they had to watch out for everyday.
Couldn't obtain knowledge cause that was a ability they couldn't contain.
The power to read taken away for them to remain in a life of pain.
Unforgettable memory's that should be carryed on to remember.
It was the slavery times that creates a better journey for us to consider.
They was slaves, but in my eyes they was the history of family and loveable leaders
Hopefully we could unite within our next generations for people to understand what our ancestors been through.
