Black Dress Poem by Emmanuel George Cefai

Black Dress

I saw you in black dress
and your sweet maiden ship
in beauty grows
much quicker than flowers
or the violets in spring
and country faces
in their new born throes
your face more red more
more grows
your hands more
white they grow
and beauty after beauty
in your face will blow
