Black And Light Poem by Justin La Plant

Black And Light

Alone he exists, a stark comparison to his surroundings
He is white, and yet all that he sees is black
That darkness roils all around him, seething at his presence and trying to consume all that he is
Regardless, he remains steadfast and vigilant in his lonely plight
There he will always exist, as he always has existed, a blazing beacon of hope for those unable to see or find their way through all the darkness
Yet, off in the distance there exists a lone darkness, offering snake-like reassurance to all that travel in the light.
