Bird Versus Man Poem by U Win Kyi

Bird Versus Man

Man has been eating chicken for thousands of year,
Now he has become chick due to fear.
The fluffy feathered bird has fought back,
Buffeting the man from right and left.
Man had bloody nose in early bouts,
Almost flat on canvas in knock-out.
Once he hears the virus H5N1,
As fast and far away as he could run.
Spreading around the world is the deadly bird flu,
Everybody is removing the chicken from the menu,
Restaurant owner's mood is in the blue.
Eating fried chicken is no more fun,
Once infected he will surely be done.
A dead chicken must be informed as a rule,
All the chickens in the farm must be culled,
Man is fighting back like a raging bull.
The chicken is now staging a guerilla war,
Popping up here and there, near or far.
The final victory has not yet been declared,
In the meantime, man is living in a nightmare.
