Binding Poem by Jennifer Rose

Binding

Rating: 5.0

Don’t keep me tied down.
Don’t tell me no.
You have no idea
That I long for my life.
Stop taking it from me,
It hurts those stupid limitations.
I just want to fly,
No one knows me truly.
Only I can survive on my own.
Just unlock the cage
Help me escape.
The darkness suffocates
Limiting my sight.
The shackles keep me in place.
Restricting my movement.
Let go!
I can’t stand it anymore!
I hate crying!
Can’t you see?
I want myself!
I’m not that little girl anymore.

It's good that you want to fly on your own. It seems that you have great determination, more that your age even. Love is not a binding it is rather freedom. Keep going on your own preserving love at the same time. Best Wishes. Naseer
