Beyond Your Secret Life Poem by Late Sunrise

Beyond Your Secret Life

You leave me alone with the pain
Of all these years spent in vain
To Love the One You pretended to be
While You neglected my need of honesty.

You leave me broken in a world of silence,
After these years endured in your absence,
Where my Love for You was deep and true,
Until I found You are not the One I knew.

You leave me down in search for solutions,
And You decide to ignore my questions,
You refuse to unveil to my heart your own ego,
You deny what we hoped for, how long ago.

You leave me with tears born from a missed life,
Thereafter, each of your written words is a knife.
You choice to look for ecstasy to solve your loneliness,
Fool I was to blindly trust your words of tenderness.

You leave me bitter; dare You say I have been useless?
Betrayed I am, would I still dream of your caresses,
If beyond the signs of this Love You shared with me,
You were hiding the secret depths and needs of Thee.
