Between War And Freedom Poem by Edward Kofi Louis

Between War And Freedom

Life!
Between war and freedom;
Like children going out naked,
Playing hide and seek in the rain.

After few months later,
One of the girls became pregnant;
Like the muse of too many empty seats in a stadium!
Leading to one problem to the other,
In the name of premarital sex.

Life!
Between war and freedom;
What many call freedom,
Which is more of illegal lust!
But, we brought nothing into this world,
And, this world is now ending up on us,
Because of our negative acts.

This last generation,
Full of troubles;
With war in the east, south, west, and north!
Because, we are not ready for the truth.
