Between Day And Day Poem by Emmanuel George Cefai

Between Day And Day

Between day and day
The poor aged man of suffering
Sank
And
Declined
And ate less and
Less
In withering!
Hoarse
Was his Voice to himself unflattering
In it the Voice had
The strain of so much suffering!
And
Though in pain
Decline was sad and sweet and calm and still.
