Betrayed Poem by Joseph Narusiewicz

Betrayed

Hilt of the sword
Little betrayals
She doesn't trust me
Deep inside the pink moon
Can you see a mystical road?
A lovely southern forest
A rock garden of color
Rainbow exudes assured promise

We live in modern pain
Many fragments like shattered glass
Unity, the ideal of the suffering
Everyday my hope must struggle
I see the mountains and cry
Beauty is a persistent friend
The light beckons me home
Exert the will amidst the darkness

Betrayed by a tender kiss
