Betrayal Poem by Brynn Bettin

Betrayal

In the desert a lone man cries
His friend in hand with burrowed eyes
He lifts him up to take within
The deepest sorrow of his whim
He takes him to a sacred place
And puts him in a curdled case
To where he goes they cannot see
For in him flees all hope and glee
The end of him is the end of he
Who lies lonely in a hill
To keep the secret of he who kills
