Best Take Note Poem by Michael P. Johnson

Best Take Note

Are You Happy Lord, are You pleased?
Or sad, on Heaven's throne
This wayward world's, shameful diseased
Souls end, with hearts of stone

Whatever You do Lord, send Life's Dew
World hunger's off the chart
Send Living Bread, add to the few
Souls, with a grateful heart

But You Lord too, watch churches decrease
Church numbers dwindle low
How hell's robbers, Your own lambs fleece
How well, my God You know

Lord, we need You more than ever
Time, You see, grows short
You know how devils are clever
Hunting weak lambs as sport

This! while fools seek, worldly pleasure
Crumbling in shame they die
Life's youth, seek frivolous leisure
While Salvation's free to buy

Only a humble prayer away
An earnest heart will cry
Though it be night, by light of day
God's listening on high

Let Christ's true church, take note of this
Be wise and understand
Countless may end in hell's abyss
Though God has all in hand

Believing you'll live on Holy Ground
Believing life's crown won
You too guilty can still be found
Grieving God's righteous Son.....
