if you are feeling a little down,

a real best friend will act like a clown,

if your lost and dont know what to do,

they'll be there to lead you straight and true,

'cause thats what best friends do,

they will always be loyal, if your treat them fair and well,

but if you don't, you'll soon feel like an empty shell,

they will always be there to share your pain,

they show you ways to let your feelings go down the drain,

after all they're not called BEST friends for nothin',

they're your best friends 'cause they have a special somethin',

and a true best friend is very rare indeed,

but if you have one, you'll know how to succeed,

'Cause that's what best friends are for.
