Best Befriended Poem by Keith Shorrocks Johnson

Best Befriended

And still there will be those who believe,

Like bridesmaids awaiting their friend,

Anticipating the possibility of her happiness,

That they live this moment for her good fortune.

Please God, that such nobility of purpose

Be rewarded in the marriage of freedom and country,

That those who wait so expectantly may be delivered

From tribulation, wrath, danger, and necessity.
