Being Blue Poem by Timothy Honeycutt

Being Blue

Have you ever just sit and wonder what heaven would be like?
I wonder if there will be a day and night?
There is days when I think my race is nearly run,
Sometimes I like to sit and say I am done.
This old world is wicked and mean,
More than any man should have seen.
I look forward to the day I hear trumpets blow,
Then looking forward to seem beautiful faces with a glow.
I pray that day is not too far off for us now,
I am so ready to just toss in the towel.
But god gives me strength and courage to last,
With friends like you each day begins and comes to a pass.
Thank you my friend you are a gift from heaven that is true.
You always keep me from have a day of being blue.
