Behind The Waterfall 3 Poem by robert dickerson

Behind The Waterfall 3

Rating: 5.0

The waters tumble from the steep
and mingle in the gorge
but inches, darling, from our feet,
but inches from the verge;
Yet if we look into the deep
with calm overcoming all
then Love will keep us in his keep
behind the waterfall.

chorus

Beneath our shoes the slippery dews
the roots and rocks begem-
treacherous jewels that tempt our feet
to founder and fall in;
All is all we have to lose-
a love surpassing all
if we should fail before we come
behind the waterfall.
