Behind The Veil Poem by Dave Alexander

Behind The Veil

I’m sorry that I left you, I didn’t want to go,
It happened so suddenly, and now your filled with woe.
It was an accident, the report wasn’t a fake,
The car that hit me had no brakes.

As I lay dying, my last thought was of you,
How you’d react, what you would do.
Then I was gone, the light faded fast,
My life flashed before me, all of my past.

But now I’m back, behind the veil you can’t pierce,
My love for you, just as strong and fierce.
Look to your heart and that’s where ill be
Try to move on, and don’t mourn for me.

As long as u remember, a part of us will be together,
But even if you forget, I’ll leave your side, never.
I’m here to stay, to watch and to see your not blighted,
One day in the future, we will be reunited.
