There are normal people that are sweating
And pushing their bodies to the extreme
So that the show will go on

Behind those shiny musical instruments
There are minds that took years
To learn all of their instrument’s tricks
So that the show will be even better

Behind those long practices
Are people that are dedicated
To coming to all the rehearsals
To make the show even better

Behind those colorful flags
Are people that take their time
To learn to spin them just right
To make the show even better

Behind those sabers and rifles
Are people that know how to use them
Not for war…but for competition
To make the show even better

Behind those perfect uniforms
Are people that are just like anyone else
But they take their time to make sure that everything is ready
To make the show even better

Behind those strict faces and stern eyes
Are people that laugh and smile like everyone else
But they have learned discipline, to keep their minds focused
To make the show even better

Behind that band that won first place
Is a band that is like a family
They had the right motives and you can see
That is the reason their show never failed
