Before You Go Poem by Kaz Kawasaki

Before You Go

I called out as you opened up the door
I should say something to explain
What I had done before
And even if it doesn’t change
Your perspective of me
I just know that saying this
Will help both you and me see
Revenge nor justice
Malice nor evil
Drove me to such a point
The truth strikes like hammer to anvil

As you pause

And walk out into blowing leaves.
