Before The Dark Poem by Kewayne Wadley

Before The Dark

I've opened up to the possibility
that no matter how dark times get
By some chance of hope,
Light always finds a way to break
through.
No matter how early
No matter how late.
The right time always finds itself
at the right time.
No matter how plentiful & distant
our shadows grow.
We share the same sky.
I've opened up to the possibility
that you are the Earth
& just above the horizon of your head
rests an orange halo.
That you are the star that I've
always wished upon,
No matter how far you are,
Light always shines just before the dark
