Bees Go Ape

Rating: 5.0

Impressed in my mind
as the minotaur is,
a garden version I find:

Bees tend to leave
star jasmine alone,
take or leave pandorea
and hardly tickle iris.

They find showy geranium choppy;
plain must have better pollen.

They love cistus (well,
her puckered centre) .
They go ape
about and inside poppy.
