Bedlam Blues (Sane Insanity) Poem by chize ryan ogunkah

Bedlam Blues (Sane Insanity)

They said Tasha has gone bonkers
By the way she says her prayers
And eats her manna
It wasn't me who said it
They said, it was the psychiatrist
Who reads the mind
And weighs your thought
And chooses your stay
In the house by the sea
Or your take (place) in the asylum

Don't blame me
It was they who said,
Tasha has gone bonkers
That she wears her heels
On all her fours
And speaks of truth
Only pure minds can know

They said Tasha has gone bonkers
The words she blurts
A string of puzzles
You piece together
You'll find the truth

They said Tasha has gone bonkers
She speaks of doom
Like a knight of gloom
Her weight in truth
Is more than the parishes oath

Has Tasha gone bonkers?
The last she spoke
Was of a knife on oak
And here we are
In memory of a bloke

They said Tasha has gone bonkers
She sees the spook
That caused the bark
And talks to John
Even though he's gone.
