Because They Fall In Love Poem by David Harris

Because They Fall In Love

Rating: 5.0

Love is something
we can never see or hold.
It is a yearning deep inside
that warms you in the winter cold.
It makes you feel ten feet tall,
but when it’s gone, you feel so small.
Love is not just a human trait;
everything falls in love,
which is why the most unlikely things pair off,
because they fall in love.
Sometimes bitter enemies
cannot do without one another,
to keep each other warm,
and become protective of one another when danger nears.
It is because for everything
in this world there is another.

One of my most favorite things is to fall in love, whether it be a baby, a puppy, a handsome smile, or a poem! Great poem, it is true that sometimes the oddest fall in love too, not that they're opposites but that they just compliment each other. What a lonely world it would be without it. Thanks for sharing this! Lee
