Beavers Poem by Paul G. Kallen

Beavers

Rating: 2.8

Catch up life moments on the lam.
Slow down the flow of the river.
Find a good place to build a dam,
And then, be busy as a beaver.

The beavers hate a noisy stream,
This babbling leakage of the water.
To keep serenity in trim —
No time for them to potter.

Who taught the humans how to block
A narrow pass to make a basin?
Nobody but this funny flock —
The beavers. They are just a daisy!
