Beauty Of Fools Poem by Mariam de Haan

Beauty Of Fools

Cake your face
Watch as it flakes
Was it worth it?
Did you gain beauty?

Show the little girl
About the fake world
Where image rules
Beauty of fools

Spend hours at the mirror
Perfecting every error
Apply it all the time
For beauty divine

I don't agree
And when you look at me
See my imperfections
The bumps and the wrinkles
At the same time natural beauty
