Beauty

Beauty is a precious
Gift from God
Trying to make
Yourself beautiful is hard
Trying to find
The right shade of make-up is harder
It's easier to
Use your natural beauty
You're just hiding
Yourself under all that junk
What is beauty?
Beauty is what
Let's people know
From the inside of you
That you're pretty or handsome
Whether you are
A boy or a girl
Beuaty goes far
You'll see what
I'm talking about
When the model agency
Does not kick you out

poet James Whitcomb Riley

There! little girl; don't cry!
They have broken your doll, I know;
And your tea-set blue,
And your play-house, too,
Are things of the long ago;
