Beacon Of Life Poem by Anupama Anpat

Beacon Of Life

The full grown, mellow birch
allows birds to nest and perch.
It’s trunk stands taut and tall,
nurtures fruit from birth to fall.

Provides shade to fatigued,
brings peace to the piqued.
Thick, lush green leaves,
weaved together into sheaves.

It’s place firmly rooted,
a feeling of haven exuded,
a playmate for the young,
many love melodies sung.

Dances to nature’s song,
greets both dusk and dawn,
changes colour with seasons,
abundance and life’s beacon.

A generous and liberal resource,
delivers throughout life’s course.
Trees are soil’s true essence,
the fibre behind earth’s presence.
