be-Leven

Mauwende zeemeeuwen in de stad,
een kat die piept ook wat,
twee vissen aan vrouwenborst
hebben enorme dorst.
Ben ik dronken,
zoog ik te lang
aan vette joint?
Soms zijn het de dingen
die van zelf lijken te zingen
dat ze vaak net
even iets anders zijn
dan men had gedacht;
dat is de kracht
van be-Leven.

Poem of the Day

poet Percy Bysshe Shelley

O World! O Life! O Time!
On whose last steps I climb,
Trembling at that where I had stood before;
When will return the glory of your prime?
No more -Oh, never more!
