Battleground Poem by Sasha Claire Beckains

Battleground

No matter how rough its gets,
I'll stand and keep my ground.
With scars ad bruises, I won't
give up. With the pain, I will
fight. No matter how much people
beg me to retreat, still I refuse.
I will fight on my own against
millions that are trying to attack me.
No one can back me down.
I will stand until it is complete.
I will keep pushing on until I stagger
to the ground...
It has begun...
The moment of truth is here.
It's where I finally reveal
my true self to the enemy.
The one I've been waiting to face
all these years.
I prepare myself as I know I'm
about to die. Still with cuts and bruises
on my body, I am still standing.
This is my ground and no one takes
over but me. My opinions are my
weapons. The truth comes out and the
enemy rages in anger, but through the
years, there will be more evil to come
and I will be ready to take them all.
