Bathing In Snowfall Poem by Alexander Foald

Bathing In Snowfall

Rating: 5.0

In front of the face of a jealous moon
The night sweeps her arm over the cloudy sky
The sky then becomes clear, as clean as the heart of a maid
But there’s still a faint light of mystery, where passion lies within
Barely holding up, like a flame bathing in snowfall

And up to the stream of lights above, traveling the course of orbital dreams
Floating barrel watches as the current drags through shooting beams
Reflected upon its surface, individual spark that is soft and tender
Lies down under the caress of infinity, where the devil rests his anger

And suddenly, on the trail of thoughts, faint as the dim light of a star
Comes up a different scent, unlike to anything I’ve been searching for
It is cool like the beginning of autumn, yet it is warm like the end of spring
A kind of scent that cradles my heart, swing it between two different feelings

I look into the moon as it doesn’t look sad anymore
While the night goes out searching for a dawn behind her door
I was dreaming of becoming a soul in a drifted island in outer space
Rowing my boat to escape, I’ve realized there’s no hope in my empty gaze
Just a faint light of flame, bathing in snowfall
