Bath Time Poem by Ima Ryma

Bath Time

'Bath time, ' says Mama kangaroo.
Junior kangaroo starts to whine,
'Oh Mama, please, I don't want to, '
'I like being dirty just fine.'
But Mama points right at the tub,
Directing Junior where to hop.
Then Mama commences to scrub,
And Junior thinks 'twill never stop.
Junior continues to complain
'The soap is burning up my eyes.'
But Mama knows there is no pain,
'It's baby shamroo, ' she replies.

As Mama scrubs, Junior yells, 'Ouch, '
'You scrubbed me softer in your pouch.'
