to ease hardship
since poetry cannot
support his family
his wife Emily
takes the opportunity
of packing up
for Ireland

the same job waits
for her there
care-giving

at first it is hard
to imagine him alone
in his room
but necessity you
must agree
is always the best
teacher
in fact it is the father
now of
all innovations
