Barren Wasteland Poem by Amber Luna

Barren Wasteland

a halo of flies hover over carcassed thoughts,
a mosaic of corpses..species unknown,
piled in medicated concussions of stunning oblivion.
will o' wisps misleading the collations of souls which wander,
foreheads pressed against cornered walls, a continuous walk.
social malice malnourished into non-existance,
axed and bludgeoned, transparent persistance.
bombastic equanimity reigns the land from charred clouds of disillusionment.
self possessed solidarity which is haunted by inhumane bones
which splinter into once healed wounds.
flecked feather chippings lace the innards of spiked poisens.
retrospective spasms tweak the teetering ropes of the gallows
where god takes his galleon in blood,
ethereal in aura, earthly in hope.
purity...an extent a point a boundry a line.
hitched extrovert in luck ten-fold, past forfeited alliances.
contained within its set cast.
