Baptism Of Demons Poem by Abdul Nuhu

Baptism Of Demons

Rating: 1.0

Whats the joy In turning eighteen when
Demons have found a dwelling home In
The chambers of my body?
Reciting Psalm 121 like an anthem each
And every night with no signs of deliverance
Made me lose hope and faith In prayers.
'Baptism' sounded like the metaphors of
Death to my ears for I knew how the anguish
And torment would taste like If dash my
Body Inside the river of baptism.
I saw mom from afar with deep tears of
Pains and sorrows rushing down from
Her weary eyes as she was praying a heart
Felt prayer with a mighty crucifix held In
Her right hand; showing remorse for a
Little Innocent Church boy.
Remembering what the scripture says In
Psalm 23 forced every epitome of
Fear out of my body as I dashed my
Feet Inside the river.
The demons began screaming and shouting
With agony 'Baba! We live this holy body
In peace'; as I was Immersed Inside the
Deep waters by the Reverend father.
Baptism brought healing and salvation
To my dear soul; for It signified dying as
A sinner and resurrecting as a new born
In Christ.
