Bamboos In My Garden Poem by Toshie Nohara

Bamboos In My Garden

Rating: 2.5

Out of my window I see
Bamboos in my garden
How they shoot up like
Jack's bean stalk!
How they tower above me in
no time!

Being short, I look up
Admiring it's fantastic
growth
So straight
So elegant
So strong
So tall
So beautiful
So graceful

When the winds blows
How those bamboo leaves gently
sway like
Hawaiian dancers cheerfully
following the
rhythm of the refreshing
breeze
Truly I could feel the
breeze caressing my warm
face
Thank you, bamboo
You are my good companion for
the summer heat
I am proud of you, bamboo
Your presence strengthens my
will-power to stand
tall
No matter what the
future will be
Thank you, bamboo
You are my inspiration.
