Bamboo Poem by Lori Boulard

Bamboo

Rating: 5.0

mysterious reed
wondrous weed
swaying in chorus
rising
shooting
lifting a song
from waters deep below

arching in wind
never failing completely
its beauty in its structure
strength to shout
choosing to whisper
listen
learn
for the weed is wiser than we know

You've got my mind and ear, Lori. (And I too ponder the mysterious qualities of bamboo) . Wonderful.

Lori - I don't believe this! You commented on a poem of mine (Corners) - I come to look at yours and we BOTH have one about Bamboo (mine is called 'Beached Bamboo') ! Now what are the chances of that? ? ? ? Your Bamboo was very much alive...mine was not quite in such good condition and trying to cling on to 'life' Oh...and I commented on your comment to your 'Members Inbox'. Keep on writing! Tony
