Ballad Of The Beauty Poem by Casey Gochnour

Ballad Of The Beauty

All the lovely and silly words you’ve said,
Always flowing through my head.
Like a radio they never stop moving,
Like your heart’s love, they never stop proving,
That you’ll give this everything you’ve got.

Your love, your love, how it makes me shine,
With the lines of your body, oh so fine.
Your lips pressed up against oh so mine,
While fingers dance along your delicate spine.

How you make me sing these words in my head,
How you make me look forward to what lies ahead.
Your love so captivating, so lovingly loving,
Affection from your heart constantly running,
From yours into mine.

Impossible to depict your beauty from even a rhyme,
Ever since that moment when my heart stopped on a dime.
When I knew what to do, when I knew what I wanted,
I know it’s bad, but it’s from the first night we bonded…

From that moment I changed my spectrum completely,
I did a one-eighty and did so discreetly.
Nobody saw it coming, it was hard for them to tell,
But from that moment, I had fallen under your spell.
And it was my fault.

But your beauty sings! Oh how it sings with the birds in the morning!
How it shines like the sun! How it sends my heart soaring!
The way you grasp my soul in the palm of your hand,
Just how it all came to me, all how I’d planned.

The greatest of beings, the feeler of the heart,
My love, my baby, which I won’t be torn apart.
I give you all of me…
Because I know, of all people,
We make the perfect we.
