Bahuli Poem by Kenneth Umunna

Bahuli

Far away, there on the edge
No fear of fall, it’s on a wedge
Safe and sound their music rocks
Its echo sent back by the rocks

Full of beauties rare of beasts
Farms ever ready to give a feast
Real unity their feast defines
Though it rains but always shines

Fecund earth to them a pride
Fecund bales to men a jolly ride
Harvest time is but a fountain
Where earth and bales bring forth their mountains

With mountains all around it
It guards the homes within it
From Nvjilu to the unknown
They are safe within its throne

(Bahuli is a village in Adamawa state, Nigeria. Surrounded by many great mountains.Nvjilu is one of them) .
