There often comes a time,
When the mundane and banality of life
Catches up to the flickering warmth of a soul

A soul that has trudged way too deep
In the hazy waters of life,
Wading through the vestiges for a glimmer of something more

And when the spark appears,
A flame grows near
A beacon of warmth and yearning,
To complement and fill.

Now life may grow dim,
But it never comes near
For a blaze like no other,
Illuminates the way
