This is the time
I say to myself that
only babies cry

This is the time
I say to myself
that I'd rather lie

It's your voice, your eyes, your smile
or maybe everything about you
that cannot be touched
that's got me thinking
and weeping about how I've lost so much

But to think that I have lost you,
I am a liar

Like taking credit for the thing I didn't do
Like saying I have lost you when I have never even had you

My last words are definitely I love you

and

You've been painting my sky a different shade of blue

and

that it's the only thing that's been keeping my head up
