Awake Again Poem by kendra swan

I'm not sure what it is but something about you changes me.
Something about you brings out a part of me i lost to depression.
My smiles are real again.
My laughs have purpose yet again.
When i see, hear, or talk about you my heart picks up speed.
I feel like my eyes are opening for the first time and the first
thing i see is you.
When I'm around you i don't get sad.
When we're apart my heart goes with you.
My depression comes back and i miss you.
I want to be able to feel your embrace for more than a minute.
I want to be with you.
But I don't deserve you.
You think I'm a good person but that's because you haven't seen the
other side of me.
But your still the best thing to happen to me.
