Avarice, Ambition... Philosophy Poem by Lionara S.t.m.o.l

Avarice, Ambition... Philosophy

Filled by slaves of tyrants this city
by terrestrial pleasures miserable all of them.
Poor and greedy for glory and money
and first the rulers. What a shame!
Fears makes them writhe, to hurt.
Grieve, rejoice, their serenity forget.
Missing knowledge, to see their soul's deepness ...
They only want learning to excel
not at the level of the soul that gives value
but in money and vanity.

It is essential to have rich experience
to taste supreme bliss.
Wisdom for completeness with substance!
Avarice, ambition, philosophy.
Then they deserve the key, the town to change,
the 'Right Speech' to have, to dominate.
Laws writing to apply their children
with a right polity to deserve their wings.

[Inspired by the 'Republic' Plato]
