Autumn's Song Poem by Tracy Diehl

Autumn's Song

Listen closely to the winds call
Summer has ended transforming into the fall
The air is bitter growing cold
The leaves on the trees begin to age and grow old
Alternating to coclors orange, red, and yellows so bold
As the leaves on the trees begin to turn
Look at the trees and how the leaves burn
The earths smell is best described antique
It is a fragrance so breathtaking, so unique
Inhale falls scent; let it take you to a place euphoric
In a land that has been touched my something historic
Magic spreads from the clear blue-gray sky to the leaves that kiss the ground
All the hidden treasures, pay attention, look around
The geese in the air flying south ever so swift
So much beauty to live for, such a gift
The wind wirling around us playing a song
Embrace every moment, autumn will not be here long
So when falls chilly breeze weaves through the fiery trees
Remember to dance in the sea of leaves
After the last leaf has fallen and the trees job has been done
Autumn has ended and the wonders of winter has begun.

I love the color you put in this poem. Perhaps you will like mine too, and you have inspired me to make some colorful ones as well. Keep up the good work. From a Louisiana poet.
