Autumn River Poem by Sheldon Moore

Autumn River

The mighty green river
Shrunken by the thirst of summer
Flows lightly now
At night she is black velvet
Stretched from bank to bank
And endlessly beyond
She pulls us softy toward the sea
With friends she moves us
To ponder upon her beauty
Telling us she is at peace
On this cool November night
