Autumn Poem by Dipankar Sadhukhan

Autumn has appeared.
In the cloth of white clouds and golden sunshine
Nature looks now so lovely, so gorgeous.
The beauty of Catkins
And the smell of Nyctanthes arbor-tristis
Make the Bengalees so overwhelm.

There is no scorching heat of summer,
No cold wind of winter is blowing.
No sign of storm is found in the sky.
Bengal looks so beautiful in autumn.
So in the houses of the Bengalees
We find joy and festivity.

With the arrival of autumn
Nature has brought a new message.
There is no discrimination, no jealousy.
Breaking the wall of narrow religion
Everyone is now celebrating
The festivals of autumn.

Autumnal beauty is watched everywhere -
In the villages and towns of Bengal.
Today autumn looks as if she is charming girl.
She has appeared in Bengal
To greet everyone
With her love and best wishes.
