Augustan Poets

One thing you will find
by dipping into original Chaucer
is that St Augustine is St.Austin.

Augustus could have been Austin too;
at least to his mother, wife
and inner circles.

With 'The Austins' therefore, one could cope,
for the Augustan poets
from the 1690s to the end of Pope.
