I take delight gathered with those who allure me
To the service of the Lord that we may go
Into the place of solemn worship together
And with the same faith adore Him who we know
Let us at length stand with sure footing in Zion
The place He has chosen for His sanctuary
And assemble within the gates of the City
Joined as brethren dwelling in unity
A holy assembly to sing to Him praises
All day and night unto the Most Holy One
For there the kingdom throne of the house of David
Has its permanent seat for God's only Son
For Jerusalem we shall make supplication
That rejoicing within her walls may abide
And prosperity enjoyed by those who love her
The ones seeking peace where the Lord's own reside
